What if SOPA is a hoax?
Today is a new day. Wiki, Google, and Reddit are just a few of the hard hitters here flexing their muscle against two very controversial pieces of legislation, SOPA and PIPA. I suggest clicking here if you aren’t aware of these. It’s truly amazing to see so many individuals combining efforts with tech giants to stop as piece of legislation. I can’t remember anything quite like this happening in my life time. I suggest that everybody participate in defending our internet’s freedom by signing petitions and writing letters. It’s not as hard as it sounds. Click here for instructions (its the same link, I know). However, what if SOPA and PIPA are actually serving their intended purpose… which has little to do with internet censorship.
This is obviously a theory. You shouldn’t interpret anything I’m saying as fact… but it could be!
The powers that be have been afraid of the unification of the American people since Vietnam. They have been progressively working to keep us from organizing by making more and more difficult to do so. My audacious theory is that SOPA and PIPA are being used as a device to test the public. They want to see how much weight the people of the internetz can carry which I believe has proved to be a lot. They pushed out SOPA and PIPA with no intention of actually implementing it. They made bills that were guaranteed to ruffle feathers. Now, on this day, we’ve all weighed in. We’ve made our methods clear to them. Now it’s only a matter of deconstructing the methods we use. This will happen in the same way Obama awarded himself the ability to indefinitely imprison potential criminals without trial. There will be no bill. There will be no petitions to sign. A heavy foot will be put down and our internet will feel the squeeze that SOPA and PIPA have purposed… and then some.
Who are “They”? They are the same people that put these bills into motion. A politician or politicians that are heavily influenced by corporate America… or corporate Earth. It’s all about the cash. Trade our Liberties and our abilities to unify and connect with each other for cash. It’s all for sale.
Just a What If.

I was thinking the same thing.
An in depth ploy to get people at arms.
Our liberties are steadily being taken away, if we like it or not.
whether it is or isn’t a hoax, it’s important to have no complacency towards a bill that you disagree with. If more Americans were only so informed about the danger of the Defense Authorization Act in 2011, we’d be dealing with less imposing government.
