Welcome to SpeekLeet’s FAQ. This is a living document. It will be updated and changed. Here is a brief explanation on how to use this site.
ROLES
First you must understand your role. All newly registered users are automatically given the role of Subscriber. If youd like to be promoted, please send a message to an admin. Do this by using the “Messages” section of your dashboard. There is currently only one Admin: DrooBot
- Editor – Somebody who can publish and manage posts and pages as well as manage other users’ posts, etc.
- Author – Somebody who can publish and manage their own posts.
- Contributor – Somebody who can write and manage their posts but not publish them. You must wait for an Admin to approve your post.
- Subscriber – Somebody who can only manage their profile.
CREATING AND POSTING A NEW POST
It’s really easy. In your dashboard you’ll find Posts. Click Add New Post. Keep your title short. It will automatically be reduced on the front page… for example:
The title is:
How I know my co-worker is a Vampire.
But it appears on the front page as:
How I know my co-worker is a…
So keep ‘em short.
Also, for the sake of the front page, use the “Insert More Tag” button after typing a brief intro for your post. Everything before the “Insert More Tag” break will be seen on the front page. Users will have to click on your post to read your post in its entirety. This is good because it keeps single posts from filling up the front page and, more importantly, allows Admins to track a posts popularity.
When you’ve finished your post, please check the appropriate Category boxes for your post. At this point, you can Preview and/or Publish your post.

We’re not picky. You can post whatever you desire. Your use/abuse of language doesn’t matter but please refrain from posting images or videos that would be considered NSFW.
